What we collect
You don't need an account, and most tools work right in your browser, so what you type or upload into them stays on your device. We collect only:
- Basic visit information. Like most websites, our server keeps logs of the requests it receives: your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time. Error and security logs, for example of failed sign-ins or blocked spam, also include the IP address. To stop abuse, short-lived counters linked to IP addresses limit how often forms and tools can be used; they expire within a day.
- Messages you send us. If you contact us, we keep your name, email address, message and the type of browser you used, so we can reply.
- What you enter into a few tools. Some tools, such as the IP address lookup and the HTTP headers viewer, need our server to work. We use what you send only to show you the result, and the tools don't save it. Like any request, it can appear in the server logs described above. When you check a website's headers, that website sees a request from our server, not from you.
- Tool use counts. We count how often each tool is used each day. The counts don't include your IP address or anything you enter.
Your light or dark mode choice, and things you choose to save in a few tools, such as countdowns, a history of UTM links or your best typing score, are stored in your browser on your device. They are never sent to us, and clearing your browsing data removes them.

We do this because we have a legitimate interest in running a safe and useful website.

Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. We only share it with companies that help us run the site, such as our hosting and email providers. Some of them may handle data outside your country, including in the United States, with legal safeguards in place.
When a page includes a YouTube or Vimeo video, your browser connects to that service to show it. YouTube videos are embedded in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode.
How long we keep it
Server request logs are deleted after about a week. Error and security logs are deleted within about two months. Messages you send us are deleted automatically 1 year after we last dealt with them. Our daily backups are kept for two weeks, so deleted information can stay in them for up to two weeks longer.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, ask us to limit or stop using it, or ask for a copy. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Just email [email protected]. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The site is not meant for children under 13, or under 16 in Europe, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
